mindfulness+description
"Mindfulness" has a long history and quite a bit of energy in our cultural moment. It is part of many systems of philosopy and religio-spiritual practice, often being associated with meditation, as well as appearing less explicitly anywhere process-consciousness (attending to how one does what one does, while attending to the consequences of choice) is encouraged. Associated images and metaphors include: awakening, presence, currency ("being in the Now), attention, readiness, awareness, conflict, balance, "energy" (the felt sense of intangible power and influence), and many more.
This site emphasizes the aspects of mindfulness which
- prepare one to Embody Nonviolence, and which relate to Conflict Done Well;
- illuminate the Archetypal traditions and mytho-psychology studied to understand the "human condition" and making of culture.
