Richard Strozzi-Heckler
is founder of the Strozzi work and of Strozzi Institute. A nationally known speaker, coach and consultant on leadership and mastery, he has spent four decades researching, developing, and teaching the practical application of Somatics (the unity of language, action, emotions, and meaning) to business leaders, executive managers and teams from Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, technology start-ups, non-profits, the U.S. government and military.
Richard is the author of seven books, including The Leadership Dojo, In Search of the Warrior Spirit, The Anatomy of Change, Holding the Center, Being Human at Work, The Mind/Body Interface, and Aikido and the New Warrior. His articles have appeared in Esquire, East West Journal, The Whole Earth Review, and numerous other publications. In October 2000, a Wall Street Journal cover story featured the groundbreaking leadership program developed by Richard for the United States Marine Corps.
He was named one of the Top 50 Executive Coaches in The Art and Practice of Leadership Coaching, Jossey-Bass, 2004 and Profiles in Coaching, Linkage Publications, 2003. He is also the Honorary President of the Peruvian Coaching Association. He is the co-founder of the Mideast Aikido Project (MAP), which brings together Palestinians and Israelis through the practice of Aikido.
From 2002 to 2007 he was an advisor to NATO and the Supreme Allied Commander of Europe (SACEUR) General Jim Jones, who became a National Security Advisor.
Richard has a Ph.D. in Psychology and is a sixth degree black belt in the martial art of Aikido. He also holds ranks in Judo, Jujitsu, and Capoeira.
Richard has taught at the University of Chicago, Harvard University, Sonoma State University, Esalen Institute, Lone Mountain College, Naropa Institute, and the University of Munich. Richard was the 2009 William Dickson Leader-in-Residence for the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership at California State University, Long Beach.

Chris Thorsen
as founder of Quantum Edge, has advised senior executives for over 40 years. Chris has provided development coaching to executives and their teams leading organizational transformations at Disney World, Lucent Technologies, Unocal, and Kaiser Permanente. Chris is a pioneer in the application of the principles of Aikido [The Art of Peace] and Bohm’s Dialogue to leadership mastery, team synergy and organizational strategy. He has studied and taught Aikido for over thirty-eight years and is a master of Haiku, the Zen poetry of deep presence in Nature.

Wendy Palmer
holds a sixth degree black belt in Aikido and has practiced mindfulness for over 35 years.
She is the founder of Leadership Embodiment a coaching program that uses principles from the non-violent Japanese martial art of Aikido and mindfulness to offer simple tools and practices to increase leadership presence and respond to stress and pressure with greater confidence and integrity.
The three competencies of Leadership Embodiment focus on developing greater capacity to work with intensity. They are: being inclusive, being able to listen for the whole, and speaking up clearly without aggression or collapsing.
In addition to her organization, Embodiment International, she has created a foundation, The Embodiment Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to offering simple, effective tools that activate leadership potential on behalf of creating a better life for all people. John O'Neil
is the President of the Center for Leadership Renewal. He serves on several boards and is an author, speaker, and advisor on leadership issues, providing leadership advisement and development services to senior leaders serving across a wide range of organizations from start-ups to mature enterprises.
John's book The Paradox of Success (G.P. Lance Giroux
a 1972 graduate from West Point, began his career in the field of leadership and human potential training in the mid-1970's, and served as a senior executive for a major international training company through 1995. During those two decades he: developed curriculum; recruited, trained and led instructional staffs; and personally facilitated hundreds of conferences, retreats and seminars.
Lance founded Allied Ronin in 1994, tailoring leadership programs for organizations and individuals. In 2001 his work expanded into the business school arena beginning with the University of San Francisco, where he taught the core MBA leadership course, facilitated retreats and lectured in the EMBA, PMBA and MSIS programs. Since then he has presented leadership programs and lectured at Oklahoma State University, Westminster College and the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and has presented at annual Organizational Behavior Teaching Conferences. Jeff Dooley
offers workshops to help individuals apply principles of inner mastery to the leadership challenges they face at work and in everyday life.
Jeff is a management consultant and educator in private industry and government. His major focus is in helping organizations to design and manage large-scale change initiatives in ways that integrate the skills and tools of systems thinking and inner mastery. He is a former instructor at University of California Santa Cruz Extension, and he has conducted systems seminars at Harvard University. He has been a student and practitioner of martial arts for over two decades, and he holds the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt (Sandan) in Aikido.
Jeff has recently co-authored the article, "Aikido for Change Leaders" in The Dance of Change by Peter Senge.
