Saturday's class from 10:30-12 will offer an excellent opportunity to work with a guest instructor.
 
Ricardo Leigh Sempai attended Cal in the mid 1980's. He began training in 1994 at the Aikido Institute (Oakland), then relocated to New York in 1996. There he trained at the New York Aikikai under Yamada Sensei and Sugano Sensei, as uchi deshi from April 2000 to July 2001, continuing to live in and serve the NYA until 2005. He moved back to California and trained at the Berkeley Aikikai under Shibata Sensei from 2005 until mid 2011. Since January of 2012, he has "happily trained with Feder Sensei, thoroughly enjoying all aspects of her guidance and the rich community spirit she fosters."
 
Please come and train with Ricardo Sempai this Saturday and give him your full attention, especially as he continues to train at Aikido of Berkeley and is an admirable resource in your ongoing aikido journey.
 
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow (Friday) from 2:30-4:30, and then again next Monday at the Faculty Glade from 12-1.
