  • One of the most direct and obvious contribtions of aikido training around the world is to the well being of children.

    In addition to the gains customarily associated with martial arts in general -- an increased ability to focus, growing strength of character, and developing a strong body -- aikido adds the ability to process conflict without resorting to competition and creating win/lose situations, seeking an "everybody learns from this" attitude toward adversity, and dealing with multiple "attackers" or dilemmas simultaneously in order to prepare for the real complexities of life.
