Paula Craig - Pure Love

2013-03-31

Pure love, no mixed motives, free of personal ego or any gain, just loving relationships with God, with others, with ourselves is the fulfillment of all the scriptures, all its rules and guidelines, all that is sacred.

That is the bottom line, the “What We Are Looking For”.  That is mindfulness, compassion, paradise, resurrection, oneness, the ecstasy of the mystics – melting into that spirit of disinterested love is ‘being in heaven where all things are right’…loving the children not because they are so cute, so lively, make us proud, but loving the reflection of our own innocence; loving the Church in all of its disarray, its pretence, its bewilderment, its beauty of intense effort and gestures; loving the world in all of its ignorance and brutality; praying energy into all its least moves toward lovingkindness.

Refocusing our eyes past the obvious, the literal body, learning to live re-focused, we can absorb the sight, ingest the spirit, breathe the breath of God and live in the tide of Easter.
