Beware: Berkeley Brandon's Beached Buccaneer Brouhaha

September 19th brings us once again to International Talk (Tweet, update, send emails) Like a Pirate Day, which also happens to be an excuse for my, surprisingly annual, Birthday Party. Prepare to dress in odd costumes and draw together around a fire under the open sky and consume sacrifices of once living beings, and indulge in various other cult-like behavior. If you'd like to give me something, please consider attending the Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin ryu seminar at Aikido of Berkeley with Toby Threadgill, Menkyo Kaiden. The success of our first event with Toby Sensei would be a most excellent gift and you get AMAZING training into the bargain.

After training is done on Sunday, go to Caesar Chavez State Park on the Berkeley waterfront http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Caesar+chavez+state+park+berkeley&sll=37.872694,-122.271226&sspn=0.009401,0.017831&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=CESAR+CHAVEZ+STATE+PARK,+Berkeley,+Alameda,+California&ll=37.872414,-122.319975&spn=0.018801,0.035663&z=15&iwloc=A and look for the Skull and Crossed Bones NW of the parking circle at the west end of Spinnaker Way.

Dock your vessel, find a comfy place to rest your (costumed?!) bones while consuming Lisa food (no more need be said), playing various games (only some of which will involve hitting each other with sticks - wooden weapons welcome), share sea shanties, and generally unnerve the locals from 3pm-ish until you need to set sail (latest 10pm--ish).

If there is rain, we will gather instead at Aikido of Berkeley. Please visit http://aikidoofberkeley.com if you need details.

AAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrrrighty then.
