On March 9th we will explore:

GLOBALIZATION & SOURCING

"Sourcing" (knowing where and how, and from whom your products come), Raw Materials, Food, Coffee, Extractive Industries (mining, growing, logging, etc.), Jewelry, Environment, International, Local, Globalization, Labor, Wage Economies of Scale, Distribution of Wealth, Equity, Americanism.

After we chose Globalization & Sourcing as our next area of interest, Roundtable member, Martin Taber, promised to send us a slate of resources so we might get ourselves ready to discuss the topic at the greatest possible depth, given varying time to prepare. Martin frames the subject area as "the personal politics of consumption and materials sourcing" and offers the following beginnings:

What other resources would you like to suggest?

If you are a new member, coming for the first time on the 9th, please feel free to contribute to this and anything else that passes by way of this email list. We will still be forming our core group for a while yet.

Even if you have nothing to add at this time, please RSVP to let everyone know whether you will or will not be coming.

Thanks to the member who chose to make a donation after our last gathering to support the purchase of food and materials. If you are able to do so, please create a recurring support donation at http://abcglobal.net/Community_Roundtables

With gratitude for your valuable time and contributions of all kinds,

Brandon
