"Excuse me" side-steps
Physical and Verbal distinctions:
Front side-step = move front foot first either to the same or opposite side
Back side-step = move back foot first either to the same or opposite side
As usual, vocal inflection is paired with physical orientation:
Anterior (lifting inflection with forward move/irimi/entering) https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/anterior#English
